Ways to Pray for Pastor Rick on His Sabbatical

1To experience a genuine sabbatical rest – physical and spiritual renewal.

Leviticus 25:4 But in the seventh year the land is to have a year of sabbath rest,

a sabbath to the LORD.

2To reflect personally on what God has done, is doing, and wants to do in and

through him.

Philippians 2:13 for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to

fulfill his good purpose.

3To gain a new perspective on what the Lord is doing in his Church.

John 4:35 I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for

harvest.

4To capture a fresh vision and passion of what God has for North Raleigh Church of the Nazarene!

Acts 11:5 “I was in the city of Joppa praying, and in a trance I saw a vision.”

5To cultivate his leadership skills.

Romans 12:6, 8 We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each

of us. If your gift is . . . to lead, do it diligently. . . .

6To write meaningfully about practicing the presence of God.

John 15:4 [Jesus speaking] Remain in me, as I also remain in you.

7To return with a clear sense of mission and renewed energy to accomplish it.

Matthew 28:19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations. . . .

For North Raleigh Church of the Nazarene: May we continue to carry out faithfully with joy and hope the ministry to which we are called – to call people to a whole hearted relationship with Jesus Christ.  Let us invite people to church and speak with excitement about what God is doing at our church.  Speak about  it on Facebook, tell your friends how great God is and invite them to church.

For Pastor Rick: May the Word of God encourage him. May the strength of God equip him. May the Spirit of God empower him. May the wisdom of God instruct him. May the hand of God direct him. May the shield of God defend him and bring him safely back to us.
