Preparing for Worship at NRN on March 8 2015

As we gather together in the Worship Center at North Raleigh Church of the Nazarene tomorrow I am confident that God is before us and as we enter the facility I hope you will tune in to the moving of the Holy Spirit.  I am so jazzed about the message God has placed on my heart for this Sunday.  I knew the direction God was leading but the message came slowly this week and today there was a breakthrough of His Spirit and the words flowed upon the page as I prepared my teaching notes.  The Anointed Word of God will be presented tomorrow and it is power to change the lives of all who hear. Invite someone to experience the moving of God in our midst.

Here is the planned order of worship for tomorrow - prepare your heart to worship the Lord in spirit and in truth.

I plan to extend a simple call to worship:

“We have come to worship God. The Word is how we know about God, and therefore it is the foundation for all that we do here and for our understanding of why we have come together.”

We pause to hear about what God is doing in His Church at NRN!  Then we continue in our worship by bringing our offerings before the Lord!

We take time from singing about God and proclaiming our Hallelujahs to prayer for one another.  Jesus said His church is a House of Prayer.  We come before the Lord in prayer with thanksgiving.

Part 3 in this Teaching Series:

Delighting in the Word

When Christians gather for corporate worship, it is logical that the Word of God should play a central and dominant role. For since worship involves focusing our thoughts and hearts and voices on the praise of God, in response to his self-revelation and his gracious saving initiative, we of course needthat view of God which the Word gives us if our worship is to be “in spirit and in truth” (John 4:23-24).

Our worship can only duly honor God  if it accurately reflects what he reveals about himself in his Word.

Don't be late tomorrow....
