Monday evening Prayer
Then beginning with Moses and with all the prophets, He
explained to them the things concerning Himself in all the Scriptures. Luke 24:27
Lord Jesus,
The story of the Emmaus Road experience is captivating.
We revel in our thoughts of what it was like to walk with You while You
explained the scriptures. It is no wonder that these followers would cry out,
"Were not our hearts burning within us while He was speaking to us on the
road, while He was explaining the Scriptures to us?”
Our hearts are filled with joy and gratitude when You
reveal Yourself to us through Your Word. You have told us "“If you
continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know
the truth, and the truth will make you free.” It is our yearning to be
Your disciples.
We love You, Jesus. Amen
