A long time ago,
there was a man who punished his 5-year-old daughter. He punished her for
wasting a whole roll of expensive gold wrapping paper. The father was angry at
how she used all the paper on the little box which she had put under the
Christmas Tree.
Nevertheless, the little girl brought the gift to her father the next morning
and said, “This is for you, Daddy. Merry Christmas!"
The man became embarrassed by his over reaction earlier, but his rage erupted
when he saw that the box was empty. He yelled at her; “Don’t you know, when you
give someone a present, there is supposed to be something inside?”
The little girl looked up at him with tears in her eyes and cried;
“Oh, Daddy, it’s not empty at all. I blew a bunch of kisses into the box.
They’re all for you, Daddy.”
The father was at a loss for words. He put his arms around his little girl, and
he begged for her forgiveness.
Only a few months later, an accident took the life of the child.
Her father was crushed and he kept the gold box by his bed for the rest of his
life. Whenever he was thinking about his little girl, he would take the box and
take out an imaginary kiss and remember the love of his little darling who had
put it there.
Moral of the story:
Love although invisible, is so real and is the most precious gift you will ever
have.
