Happy birthday Pastor Jordan

The celebration of life for Kyle Funke was an awesome experience. Thanks to the Whiteside family for the worship portion and the media presentation. Pastor Kevin Todd shared the eulogy prepared by Kyle's dad, Peter. The tributes brought a perfect blend of laughter and tears. I am so thankful for Rodney Rhoads and the great team of people for the meal and blessing to the family. Dr. Dan Boone concluded the time with a special presentation to the family and shared the closing farewell to Kyle. The life of Kyle Funke was well celebrated and I am confident that God was pleased.

Today was a great day in the office. There was a minimal party mode - but I could not let the day pass without saying HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Pastor Jordan Unfried!

Jordan is a recent graduate of Azusa Pacific University, Azusa, CA with a Master of Arts, Educational Counseling degree - July 2009. He is also a graduate of Point Loma Nazarene University, San Diego, CA with a Bachelor of Arts, Philosophy & Theology with a Minor in Pre-therapeutic Psychology, May 2007. He now serves as Youth Pastor at North Raleigh Church of the Nazarene.

Jordan and his wife Alana were married on August 1, 2009. They relocated from California to Raleigh in late August 2009.

I am so thankful that the Lord has brought Jordan and Alana to NRN. He is a vital part of the ministry team!

A recent event for the youth ministry was going to Pineville, NC to join with youth from across the state for the annual New Year's Blast! Here is a picture of the group before they left the church for the evening of fun:

Pastor Jordan - we appreciate you.

HAPPY 25TH BIRTHDAY!
