Preparing for worship on Resurrection Sunday 2015

As we prepare for our worship on Easter Sunday I thought I would remind you who we are as North Raleigh Church of the Nazarene:

Our worship gathering is laid back, with a come-as-you-are kind of feel to it. So unless you really feel the need to dress up, we do not expect this of you. Our music is contemporary based. We have a keyboardist, guitars, drums and other rhythm instruments. However, we do frequently add in traditional hymns as well as other styles of music.

We are a Protestant church so we are not Roman Catholic and we see Scripture as our primary source of authority (though we also rely on tradition, reason and experience to help us understand Scripture and God’s will for our lives).

✤ We are an Evangelical church so we emphasize the need for each person to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

✤ We are Nazarene and following the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth so we emphasize God’s love and the freedom you have to choose to accept that love or deny it. God does not make that choice for us.

✤ We are a holiness church so we believe that there is more to being a Christian than “being saved.” Our desire is to grow in our relationship with Jesus so that we become more like him daily.   We call people to a whole hearted relationship with Jesus Christ!

We begin our time together with a Breakfast provided by the Connection Cafe'.

The breakfast begins at 9:00am and features a hot pancake breakfast with eggs and bacon. Coffee and juice provided.  It will be delicious - don't miss it!  The breakfast concludes at 10:00 am and a coffee service is then available at the Connection Cafe  for the next 20 minutes.  Our corporate worship begins at 10:30am.

Here is the order we have planned:

We will be singing a slightly different version of this song.

Now we turn our direction to the platform as I have the privilege to baptize at least two people who have recently expressed their decision to accept Christ as their Savior. We celebrate what God is doing in our midst. Get ready to clap and celebrate the Resurrection Power of Jesus Christ still at work in our church!

We continue in offering our praise to God in song:

We turn attention to the preaching of God's Word:

As we bring our time together to a close - we bring our offerings to God and worship the Lord with our sacrifice of worship.
