Preparing for Worship on July 6 2014

Tomorrow is the first Sunday of July.  I realized many of our people may be on vacation for the long 4th of July weekend.  The prayer of my heart is that people will bring friends to church and as we gather into the worship center it will be clear that the Holy Spirit is present and God will be glorified.  Since it is the first Sunday of the month we will observe communion together.  This is always a special time for us! God has placed upon my heart a simple message to draw our attention back to the mission of our church.   Here is the prepared worship set:

We begin with a welcome and opening prayer. Then stand to lift our voices in song in this worship set:

We come to the place in our worship to hear announcements about our opportunities to serve the Lord and fellowship together - then -  to give to the Lord.  The purpose of presenting our tithes and offerings to the Lord are to demonstrate that God has first place in our lives. All we have come from God and it is good to bring our offering to the Lord. Here is what the Bible says about our giving:
The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.  Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.  2 Corinthians 9:6-7 ESV

Give attention to the preaching of the Word.  The message for tomorrow is:
