WHY DO WE GATHER FOR PRAYER

There are over 180 passages of scripture that answer the question,
"Why do we gather for Prayer?"

Here are only 5...

- 1 Chronicles 16:11 Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually.

- Psalms 4:1 Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: you have enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy on me, and hear my prayer.

- Psalms 145:18 The LORD is near to all them that call on him, to all that call on him in truth.

- Colossians 4:2 Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;

- 1 Thessalonians 5:17 Pray without ceasing.

Here are additional reasons we have received over the past week that  helps answer the question, "Why do we gather for Prayer?"

- Healing.
- Deliverance.
- Salvation.
- Employment.
- Housing.
- Financial.
- Protection.
- Two mothers who have suffered mis-carriages.
- Families are in need of God's grace.

Additional requests:

- Restoration of Nepal. The death toll is now 6,000. We pray for over 8,000 brother and sisters in the Church of the Nazarene in Nepal.  The need is great!

-  Pastor Rick is asking that we pray with boldness and ask God for 5 new families over the next 7 weeks that become part of our church.  We are trusting that God will increase the financial giving of our church to meet the needs of our growing ministry.

Join us this evening at 6:30 in the Fireside Room of North Raleigh Church of the Nazarene for our weekly prayer encounter.

May God pour out His grace over these requests.
