Preparing for worship at NRN - Gathering in the Presence of God

Tomorrow at North Raleigh Church of the Nazarene will be marked by the Presence of God!  As we gather for worship we MUST draw near to God so that God will draw near to us.  Let us abandon the things of this world that hold us back - and run into the presence of God. You may say - "This is just another Sunday to come to church"; I say - let's not just "come" to church - let's "be" the church and realize the time is growing nearer to the coming of the Lord.  As the Apostle Paul once said: "The timing of my departure is drawing near." Tomorrow will be the last time scheduled for me to serve communion at NRN and I have some special words to share during this time.  Don't miss it!

Let us welcome everyone who comes to church this Sunday.  Everyone is welcomed!

Who will you call to invite to church this Sunday?

The daily grind of living in this fallen world has a way of dulling our spiritual senses. Instead of longing for deeper intimacy with Christ, many believers find their pleasure and fulfillment in the things of this world. The result is, we move from day to day, and week to week, robbed of the joy and satisfaction that are possible through a close relationship with the Lord.

We are in need of a true encounter with God. Having an encounter with God, is more than a distant admiration or an emotional 5 minutes sometime in your life. An Encounter with the living God, a true encounter with our Savior! An encounter with Jesus should not just excite us; It should change us.

"It is good for me to draw near    to God."           Psalm 73:28

"Therefore, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord. A man ought to examine himself before he eats of the bread and drinks of the cup" (1 Cor. 11:27-28).

Let all of us, then, examine our lives and, considering our own sin and the wrath of God on it, be sure that we humble ourselves in repentance before God.

I bring an offering of worship to my King
No one on earth deserves the praises that I sing
