Sharron - I LOVE YOU! Today we celebrate!

Today Sharron and I celebrate our 38th wedding anniversary.

It is a unique time in our life as we have recently sold our home in Raleigh and departed from a loving church and dear friends to step into God's Waiting Room.  We did not wait very long before we saw the faithfulness of our Great God!

We place our home for sale and within 24 hours had several offers of purchase. We accepted a cash offer and went ot closing exactly 2 weeks for the list date. The new owners allowed us to rent our home back for two months and we vacated the house before the end of May.  The biggest transition point we face at this moment is moving from a  2,500 sq ft house to a room; but we are very thankful for our daughter and son in law that have opened their guest room to us.

We are extremely excited about the open door of ministry God has prepared for us.  In mid July I will begin my ministry as Lead Pastor of Gastonia First Wesleyan Church in Gastonia, NC. We plan to relocate to Gastonia the first week of August.

I want to take this opportunity to say thank you to my loving wife Sharron, for her commitment to God and to me.  When we stood before Pastor Forbis Kivett and a large group of family and friends on that summer day in 1978 we could have never imagined the journey of life and ministry God had prepared for us!  God has blessed us with two beautiful and talented daughters, brought 2 men into our lives that love our daughters and call me Dad. Josh and Stephanie told us of our first grandchild and it changed our lives. We love Alyse, Breeley and Cammie and are having a time of our life living in their home during our transition. Danielle and Jessie have added Jayden and Jordan to our lives and we love them deeply and marvel at God's plan for us.
We will now live within an hour of all our immediate family. This is incredible to us.

The Scripture is so trustworthy and being completed in my life:

"Find a good spouse, you find a good life— and even more: the favor of God!"                                                                                                          Proverbs 18:22
