Preparing for worship tomorrow at NRN - August 24 2014

As we prepare for worship at NRN I am so excited to be back from a Sunday away and continue in the teaching series.  We have asked Noah, David and Abraham to come down from the stands mentioned in Hebrews 12:1 to give us words of encouragement as we run our individual race of life.

The order of worship will be a little different this week.  You will certainly want to come early and be at church on time for the beginning of our worship!

We begin with a greeting from Pastor Jordan with an opening prayer to draw our hearts toward God and sense God drawing near to us. Even before we walked in the worship center - God was already there - waiting for us to call upon His name.  Come to church expecting an encounter with the living God! We stand and sing:

Now we pause to greet one another and then hear the announcements of time we can gather to serve and fellowship! It's time to bring our offerings to the LORD!

Our God is Mighty to Save!   We pause to come before the Lord in prayer and intercession.

Hebrews 12:1 says "we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses..."  Today we ask Joseph to join us in the race of life to give us insight about our life with God.  Joseph would say to us “Dreams are conceived long before they are achieved. The period of time between the birth of a dream and its realization is always a process. This period is filled with doubts, adversity, changes and surprise. Frequently you will be faced with a dilemma:   Do I give up or go on?”

Today we discover Joseph’s answer to us.

We begin to bring our time together to a close as we sing before we depart...

We close in prayer...
